The Hyde Park Neighbourhood
As can be seen from the map above, the area we have labeled “Hyde Park” encompasses only the north half of the old village of Hyde Park. This part of the city is at present made of a mix of residential and light industrial and big box retailers. Once a largely commercial and rural area, Hyde Park is seeing residential streets getting closer and closer as the city sprawls ever outwards. This has been hastened by the introduction of retail developments to serve this growing area of the city.

This growing neighbourhood is home to Coronation Park, Walnut Woods and the Hyde Park Bike Trail.

The area is also home to St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Elementary.
